  Notas: Happy holidays! Esta semana he sido bueno. This post will be very short. I mainly focused on practicing en Language Transfer and some videos on Youtube. I think at this point I need something to keep track of everything I'm learning on Language Transfer so that I don't forget.  Since the last time I blogged, I worked on more language immersion. I took a Spanish Karaoke class, which was fun. We spoke a little in Spanish before everyone chose a Spanish song to sing to (like regular Karaoke). It was fun exploring the different music available and to practice on my pronunciation with some sight reading. All in all, it was fun. I also had a conversation class, where I was group with other beginners speaking only in Spanish. I learned some new vocabulario such as "pudin de platano" and how to respond and understand in a conversation. I also had a class with Franco, where we focused on my pronunciation, stressing the syllables, futuro y preterite tense, sight readin

Today, I worked on Language Transfer (episodes 26 - 27), listened and practiced (they read and I read) the BookBox story "Smile Please!", practiced in Duolingo, had a Spanish class with Franco, and continued with Destinos. For the Language Transfer, the sessions went well. I had some moments of trying to remember the vocabulary from earlier episodes and consulting SpanishDict for correct pronunciation, especially when I cannot clearly hear the pronunciation or identify the word being used. So, let's start with a check-in since the last time I've blogged. Last week was a rough week, trying to balance and carve time to work on my Spanish. From that, I feel behind in my Activities and was playing the "catch up" game. I worked on my Spanish, but it wasn't my best effort. There were days, where it was part of my "to do list" so I felt like I was just checking it off my list and that it was not a priority. Trying to speak more naturally without having to translate in my head, which is very hard.) THIS GOES IN THE WIN CATEGORY! Veo "The Comparison Villian" en YouTube. (I very much relate to the examples the speaker discussed in the video. I feel the comparison villain not only when I am comparing myself to others in my class or group but also when I compare myself and my progress with how far along I believe I should be.
